Take Up English is a new five-level English language course. It offers a well-balanced sequence of functions and structures set in student-centered topics, which facilitate the manipulation of the target language as our young adult students engage in a spiral-bound process.Take Up English 5 guides learners to a B1 level, where they can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. They will be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. They will be able to produce simple connected texts on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They will be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
This series fosters the development of the four language skills as well as life skills through the following key features:
- Competences to be developed in each lesson clearly stated.
- Step-by- step approach to grammar
- Colloquial and meaningful language to motivate students to use the language learned in class, in their everyday lives.
- A Dossier with extra material for further practice.
