Take Up English is a new five-level English language course. It offers a well-balanced sequence of functions and structures set in student-centered topics, which facilitate the manipulation of the target language as our young adult students engage in a spiral-bound process.

Take Up English 1 guides learners to an A1 level, where they can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly. They can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where they live and people they know. Learners can write simple isolated phrases and sentences.
This series fosters the development of the four language skills as well as life skills through the following key features:

• Competences to be developed in each lesson clearly stated.
• Step-by- step approach to grammar
• Colloquial and meaningful language to motivate students to use the language learned in class, in their everyday lives.
• A Dossier with extra material for further practice.
• Listening activities to reinforce grammar structures and identify different sounds and pronunciations.
